About Me

I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and  have completed my training with the Coaches Training Institute, which is affiliated with the International Coaching Federation.

I am a person of many contrasts – a classically trained musician with degrees in Chemistry and Computer Science, a fiber artist who is comfortable with a screwdriver or a paintbrush, a hiker, a project manager, a mother, a widow, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a volunteer.

After working in high tech corporate America for many years as a technical manager, I took advantage of a hostile takeover layoff to stay home with my very, very small children.  A rough transition followed as I adapted to not being a person employed outside my home.  Kids grew, I thrived, I met some people who were coaching and knew that this was what I wanted to do!  But life got in the way….a major move, attempting to go back to work, the unexpected death of my husband, and a major house remodel later, here I am pursuing my coaching dream!

Clients tell me that I’m very calm and easy to talk with.  I like to think that I’m pretty unshockable, having lived through some very shocking circumstances.  I am naturally very supportive and always curious!

I believe that everyone has the power within themselves to choose to make your life better.  It may take a huge transformation and it may only require some little baby steps.  No whining allowed – if you don’t like how things are, change them!  And I will stand beside you and help you get to where you want to be.
